AGM’25 Board of Directors Actions

At the recent AGM the Board of Directors had to actions where Members overwhelmingly agreed:

• SMGC Board of Directors Minutes of Meetings – these are now available for
  Members to see/ read – this by appointment only with the Club Manager.
• Women in Golf Charter “Champion(s)” has now been set up and their first
  mtg scheduled late May’25.

Business & Operational Management Team

• We would like to welcome Rob Cook to the team as our new Club Manager. This is a Part time role and Rob will ONLY be in the Office usually Monday, Tuesday & Friday’s.
• Don’t forget that that the “Members Hub” should always be your first “port of call” (in the Proshop). This is a 7 day operation and hopefully, in the first instance, they will be able to deal with your enquiry(s).

New Members Subscription Payments Module

• The new App went live as planned in March – we had a few issues mainly of our own making and quickly corrected. This has already shown signs of improved efficiency. Thanks go to Brian Lee & Steve Brockway.
• We can also advise that we are actively pursuing a few past members (that did not renew) that still owe the club money.

Organisation – Director’s areas of support

• As part of the business reorganisation the Directors will all take on advice / supporting roles to the B&OM Team (Brian, Marc & Rob). Detailed info will be posted on the main notice-board.

Andrew Walters Fund – Junior Room Renovation

Thanks to a generous £2,400 donation raised in memory of Andrew Walters, we’re creating a dedicated Junior Room for our Junior members. This comfortable new space, named in Andrew’s honour, is currently being renovated and will offer Juniors a place to relax, socialise, and enjoy time off the course.
